P.J. is waiting for his new outfit.

So far he's just a plain joe

So far he's just a plain Joe, so I named him P.J. for short.

Grandma Trudy

Full size Trudy monkey. Posted by Picasa

The first monkey to live with us was made by my husband's mother Grandma Trudy. She passed away many years ago but I'm sure she would have gotten a kick out of me following in the monkey tradition. I called my kids who are in college now to ask if they still had the monkey and happily they did, so they sent me the photos of it.
So the legacy continues...

Grandma Trudy made this monkey in the early '80's and it was the first monkey to move in with us. Posted by Picasa

New Monkeys

I just had some ideas for new monkeys. So I'm working on a pirate, a jester, a hippy, and my Aunt Wanda. Now that the holidays are over, I can start taking orders again.

Red Heel Message Board.

I've started playing around over on the Red Heel Sock Monkey board. It's been a year since I've been over there. If you are on it, look for my user name monkeybusiness, or my 7 new monkey characters: Patrick O'Monkey, Wallace, Kristabelle, Sugarpetals, Kimmie-Lu, Wanda, and Flowerchild. http://novogate.com/board/5148/index.php

Where to find more sock critters.

The Sock Monkeys asked me to give the Sock Critters their own blog, so here we go: http://quirkysockcritters.blogspot.com/

New monkeys

I'm about ready to make five new monkeys in anticipation of the Halcyon Craft Fair on Nov. 12 and 13th in Halcyon CA (near Santa Maria). I'm doing the show with my daughter and I can't wait.

Please remember that toys with button eyes are not for babies and toddlers. Soon I will have some monkeys with felt and embroidery eyes, and eyes that use locking washers for kids that are too small for buttons. Posted by Hello

Hi, I don't have a home yet. You get to name me. Right now I'm just MC-3. That stands for sock monkey 3. I'm only $33.00 plus $7.50 for my plane ticket. I have sparkly red sequin arm bands and a cute red hat and faux pearl and filigree button eyes. Will you be my mommy? Posted by Hello
